Banana Brownies

The gooiest brownies ever with the easiest of recipes …

Makes 12 generous portions

6oz peanut butter

6oz dark chocolate of choice, chopped

5oz dark brown sugar

50ml water

2 ripe bananas mashed

5oz self raising flour

1tsp baking powder

Add the chopped chocolate, water, peanut butter and sugar to a bowl and set over a pot of simmering water. Let the chocolate melt and then stir until you have a thick gooey mixture. Cool slightly.

Meanwhile mash the bananas, Add the flour and baking powder to a bowl, make a well in the middle,pour the chocolate mixture and bananas in and mix well. You will have thick batter.

Pour into a lined 18cm by18 cm sq tin or nearest approximate size.

Bake for about 20 minutes at 170C - they should still be gooey when you take them out of the oven.

Cool then slice, they will keep well wrapped in foil up to a week tho’ I doubt they will last that long.
