Best of 2011 – sexy and I know it!

With all due respect this has got to be the song of 2011. Laugh out loud funny and I dare you not to tap your foot to the beat!

However, this is way more impressive – 156,776 page views

That’s the total number of page views my site has received in total for 2011. Thanks for reading everyone. I’m a big believer that good content will always get people to share your info, recommend your business and return back as customers. Last year I think I wrote a handful of high quality articles and to be honest filled the rest with cat pictures, crossfit photos, me with my shirt off or general ramblings when I drank too much coffee!

Here are the most popular articles on my site in 2011 and I guarantee there is more than one you should read again.

1. The definitive guide to optimal nutrition is still the starting point for sorting your diet out and dispelling nutrition myths.

2. The best dam bars you will ever make. Actually a 2010 article but still massive views in 2011 as people wake up to making their low cost bars from home with zero cooking involved

3. Eat this not that was the most popular category last year and with the introduction of my wifes’ blog www.oliveoilandlemon.ie I predict this will again be the most popular in 2012. If you just want the answer to ‘So what do I bloody eat’ then start here.

4. Best glute activation work was big for the simple fact that it mentioned a perfect butt and nothing to do with all the great info on fixing a super common fault I see every day.

Come on what’s not to like about a nice posterior chain?

5. How to train at home coincided with the explosion in people training at home. I gave you all lots of free workouts to do at home and the kettlebell is still the most important tool you should own.

6. Is your cardio keeping you fat and out of shape broke down why doing cardio only or excessive cardio is the worst way to looking and feeling your best. Possibly the most shared and copied article in 2012.

For me the two best articles of the year were simply unmissable. They were -

1. 9 steps to perfect health by Chris Kresser. Easily the best series blog post on nutrition ANY year. Think you know nutrition? Read this first in the series and then go on to all eight

2. Managing depression with weightlifting. 2011 has seen Nick Horton explode with his detailed writing on everthing weightlifting and plenty more. He takes the bull by the horns here and gives you practical advice on getting out of the black zone.

Finally, I am a massive fan of dance in all it’s forms and the boys from Yak fiilms have exposed me to the very best in street dance. Here is one of my faves from 2011. Do not adjust the volume, sit back and be impressed.

Thanks for the support, thanks for sharing and 2012 will bring more excellent content to encourage you in the direction of a barbell, kettlebell and exercise mat and away from the bread, junk foods and calorie counting.

Want a beach body? The reality is that start’s today with better info you are currently  using on your diet/training and improved consistency with PROPER training.
