Are you throwing your money away and not being listened to?
When a client has to make a four hour round trip to come and see me it gives me some sense of how committed they are to making some serious changes to their training and nutrition.
She started in April 2011 at 23% body fat (that means 23% of her weight was fat) and last weekend tested at a highly impressive post-Christmas body fat of 13.5%. If you have ever had your body fat tested you will know how spectacular this drop really is. This is close to a 10% drop in body fat or put more simply she slashed the amount of fat her body was carrying in half!
What’s even more impressive is the fact that she did all of this with workouts done from home with limited equipment which you could use today. The workouts typically lasted no longer than 30mins.
Enough of my jiber jabber and here is Marie’s story in her own words.
“I have been to a few gyms over the last few years and I found that I never stuck with any of them. What I really needed was someone to take the time to design a workout suited to me exclusively and not a cookie cutter programme that half the women in the gym were also doing. I found myself dreading the thought of travelling to the gym after work and my workouts were taking me up to 2 hours or more to complete with little or no results. I was completely fed up of throwing my money away and not being listened to when I came across Dominic’s site.
I liked what I saw and made an appointment and travelled up to Dublin (I’m from Wexford) for my first session in April 2011. I have to say I was very impressed by Dominic’s training methods and the way all my workouts are so varied, it never gets boring. It was obvious to me that he puts a lot of effort into his own training and does the same with his clients. Dominic took my body fat measurements the first day and I was at 23%, I was a bit too fond of my carbs.
However after following his 6 week training programmes which I do from home, I am now delighted to say that I have lost almost 10% of my body fat and am down to 13.5% as of January 2012. We started out with getting the basic movements right before moving onto more difficult exercises. I got a lot of encouragement from Dominic and I surprised myself at how quickly I picked it all up.
I travel up to see Dominic every 6 weeks for a workout and a new programme which he then emails to me. I can do all the workouts from home with very little equipment required. I mainly use kettlebells, dumbbells, skipping rope, resistance band and a foam roller. All my workouts take from just 30 mins to an hour, giving me plenty of time to relax in the evenings after work. Dominic puts me through a tough workout when I see him but I always feel great afterwards and I have really noticed such a difference in my health and fitness levels.

This is the only time I have stuck to a workout programme and the only time I have noticed actual results. I have also gotten great advice on my diet from Dominic and the articles on his site and I am now eating much better and have cut out all the junk food and fizzy drinks and I feel much better for it. Even after over indulging at Christmas time (but still sticking with my workouts) my body fat had still dropped from 14% to 13.5% which I was delighted with.
